(RTTNews) - The South Korean stock market was trading lower on Monday, ending a four-day winning streak, as investors locked in profits from last week's gains. At 9:05 p.m. ET, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index or KOSPI was down 1.6 points or 0.15% at 1,074.5 after opening 1.0% lower.

(RTTNews) - The Japanese stock market was trading lower on Monday, with the key Nikkei index shedding 1.7%, on profit taking from last week's rally. Additionally, exporters were weaker on the back of a firmer yen.
